Soo, you weren't happy with the craaazy good mibbit widget Bass set up @
http://www.trivia-utopia.co.uk/trivia.html ?
Well, then you need to set up a client to connect to all that IRC goodness.
For windows users, i'll recommend MiRC (
http://www.mirc.com ). The original, and to many still the best.
If you use Firefox 2 or 3, you might want to install the addon ChatZilla (
https://addons.mozilla.org/fi/firefox/addon/16 ), which integrates with the browser.
For windows you're spoilt for choice really, and if those 2 don't grab yer imagination, i suggest you hit the google and load up something more up your alley.
For Mac users the choice is a bit more limited, but there's still a good few to choose from. These i can't recommend myself, cause i don't really like Macs. Oh yeah? Wanna gimme some grief about it? Bring it to the channel dude! xD
There's SnaK (
http://www.snak.com ), which is widely used, good for OS 9 and up.
There's Colloquy (
http://colloquy.info ) which is more "Mac like", if yer into that sorta thing. (Ya perv!)
For the opensource freakazoids theres X-Chat Aqua (
http://xchataqua.sourceforge.net ) for OS X. Then again, if yer into freesource stuff and Mac, you know this already and i'm just annoying you. Well, i like annoying people. Wanna make something out of it?
For Linux, Unix and all mutant offspring thereof, there's also loads to choose from.
There's BitchX (
http://www.bitchx.com ), recommended by our own Xenophyx.
There's Irssi (
http://irssi.org ) from the spiritual birthplace and home of IRC, Finland.
Those two don't do it for ya? Well then you're outta luck pal, go dig up your own client!
If you're using some really exotic OS like Amiga, i recommend Professional Help (
http://www.nami.org ). Lithium (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lithium_salt ) works too, or so i hear. You know you want that moodsmoothing goodness don't you?
